BespokeBeckingtonGate
The Beckington bespoke gate is one of the most popular made-to-measure gates. This attractive gate has tongue & groove match boarding as well as vertical pales to see through. However, the gate still offers security.
Modern technology, as well as traditional joinery skills, is used to create a quality made-to-measure gate. The gate has strong mortice & tenon construction and a planed finish. Additionally, the Beckington has a heavy-duty bottom rail as standard. The life of the gate is extended with water runoff features. These features encourage the water to run off as well as impede water ingress. It also benefits from a planned finish and choice of stile tops. The gates are also supplied and treated with two coats of preservative. All gates must be treated with a Modern UV wood oil prior to installation.
Made in Britain, the Beckington driveway gate is manufactured using sustainable slow-grown softwood. Slow-grown softwood is denser and as a result, produces better-quality wood. Therefore, a more durable gate. Hardwood has ethically sourced joinery grade Iroko.

Wooden gates are a natural product responding to the conditions that they are in, especially heat and humidity. In hot weather, wooden gates can twist especially if one side of the gate receives more sunlight than the other. Wood is a hygroscopic material, which means it naturally absorbs and gives off water to balance out with its surrounding environment. Twisting is likely to be caused by one side drying out more quickly than the other. It is also quite common for small splits (shakes & checks) to occur during drying. This is nature at work and should NOT be considered a fault. This is not normally detrimental to the gate's stability & structure and should rectify as temperatures cool.
