BespokeHemingtonGate
The Hemington bespoke gate is a stylish hardwood gate which incorporates black-finished steel finials. The finials run through the top bar of the Hemington for added strength. The lower of the gate is tongue & groove match boarding. This adaptable gate can be used as a pair of attractive driveway entrance gates, or as a striking garden gate.
The Hemington incorporates water runoff features. These encourage the runoff of water and impede the ingress of water, therefore, helping to extend the life of this versatile hardwood gate.
This quality made-to-measure gate is created using modern technology as well as traditional joinery skills. The Hemington driveway gate has a strong construction with precision mortice & tenon joints and a planed finish. Water run-off features help extend the life of the gates. These features encourage the water to run off as well as impede water ingress. The gates are also supplied and treated with two coats of preservative. All gates must be treated with modern UV oil prior to installation.
Made in Britain, the Hemington driveway gate is manufactured using ethically sourced joinery grade Iroko.

Wooden gates are a natural product responding to the conditions that they are in, especially heat and humidity. In hot weather, wooden gates can twist especially if one side of the gate receives more sunlight than the other. Wood is a hygroscopic material, which means it naturally absorbs and gives off water to balance out with its surrounding environment. Twisting is likely to be caused by one side drying out more quickly than the other. It is also quite common for small splits (shakes & checks) to occur during drying. This is nature at work and should NOT be considered a fault. This is not normally detrimental to the gate's stability & structure and should rectify as temperatures cool.
