Bespoke Rectangle Pergola

At Challenge Fencing we will produce a pergola to your exact size and specification.

Challenge fencing only uses pressure-treated posts to ‘Use Class 4’ or ‘UC4’ for short. This treatment allows for timbers to be used in applications in which timber use is in ground contact. Our UC4 posts meet the highest standards of protection against rot and decay which has a life expectancy of 15 years.

Please note:

• 3.0m is the recommended uninterrupted span before another post is required.
• 100mm square posts are recommended on spans up to 1.8m, and 150mm square posts on 1.8m+.
• 47x100mm bearer rails for spans up to 1.8m.
• 47x150mm bearer rails for spans between 1.8m – 3.0m.
• 47x200mm bearer rails for spans longer than 3.0m
• Shaping takes 300mm off each end of the rails.

We can offer PAR (smooth) finishes on both posts and rails. Please advise if you would like a PAR (smooth) finish on the enquiry form.

Please be aware that C24 grade timber can sometimes be used as the bearer and top rails, these are a semi-PAR finish. C24 grade timber often will have a stamp on the side advising of its grade as well as other information.

Please note that this is a kit and all the joints are pre-cut for you, you only have to assemble and fix the posts into their respective positions.
