Adze - An adze is a versatile cutting tool similar to an axe but with the cutting edge perpendicular to the handle rather than parallel.
Arris Rails - A horizontal length of triangular cross section timber used in the construction of Featheredge fencing. Can be ‘ended’ so they slot into fence posts or supplied with ‘square cut’ ends for use with arris brackets. Arris rails usually range from 1.8m to 3.0m in length.
Aggregates - Aggregates are inert granular materials such as sand, gravel, or crushed stone that, along with water and cement, are an essential ingredient in concrete used to fix fence posts in the ground. Sometimes called ballast.
Ballast – A mixture of coarse gravel and sand that when mixed with cement & water makes concrete.
Balustrade - A decorative horizontal panel, usually installed around decking.
Birdsmouth Post / Fencing - A wooden fence post with a "v" shape cut into the top. This allows a square rail, the shape of a diamond to sit into the post creating Diamond Rail fencing. Sometimes also called Knee High, or Knee Rail fencing, Birdsmouth or Birdsbeak Fencing.

Gravel Boards - When installing a fence, timber gravel boards or concrete gravel boards are inserted between the ground and the fencing. This protects the fence from sitting on the ground therefore prolonging its life and can also add extra height to a fence.
Hand Auger Digger - Ideal for preparing a hole 150mm diameter (6 inches) to accept posts.
H shaped fence post- A concrete fence post in the shape of the letter "H". Fence panels can be slide into place between H shaped fence posts. Also known as slotted fence posts.
Hit and Miss Fencing - A fence panel made from two layers of offset timber boards. This construction allows some wind to pass through the panel.
Hazel Fencing – A traditional handmade fence woven from hazel. Excellent as a wind break & to section an area for privacy or to hide garden items such as compost heaps or wheelie bins.

Pressure Treated Timber - This is timber that has been treated in a vacuum with the latest generation TANALITH wood preservative. This renowned preservative gives a proven, outstanding performance, particularly for timbers intended for use in ground contact applications.
